Description

Pear vodka is sold by several different brands. Some common brands are Absolut Pear Vodka and Grey Goose La Poire Vodka. You can also find Wild Roots, Skyy, Smirnoff, Veil, and more. With mellow pear, warm ginger, subtle honey sweetness, citrus lemon, and a generous splash of boozy bourbon, this drink is fall in a glass.

The vodka is wheat based, and silky smooth on the palate. It’s clean, crisp, but with a warming spiciness and subtle hints of fruit, along with vanilla and a bit of almond. If you’re on the hunt for an exciting martini to add to your repertoire, look no further than this fruity Daphne martini! In a Collins glass filled with ice, combine the pear vodka, lime juice, and simple syrup. Top with club soda and stir gently. Garnish with a slice of pear and a lime wheel. Though I love the ‘options’ summer’s fare has to offer, I’m distractible and am equally relieved when life becomes a bit more simple with fall’s offerings. One of my favorites is the arrival of pears. I love a pear. They are a self contained still life to me with such a pleasing shape, gorgeous mottled skin and divine flesh. Their Rubenesque appeal makes me think of…..well, booze. Not all the time but my first haul of the fall certainly did. All you need are pears, ginger, vanilla bean, and vodka, and you’re all set. Simply cut up the fruit, add it to a jar, pour in the vodka, and you’ve got something to look forward to on Friday night. Pur is a very flavorful vodka. It’s based on a mash bill of corn, and uses glacial spring water to bring the spirit down to bottling strength. On the nose, it offers up floral aromas, along with hints of cooked cereal porridge, some wet stone minerality and a bit of earthy white pepper. On the palate, there are rich buttered croissant notes, along with a bit of a dry herbal note. This is a very smooth, creamy vodka with an exceptionally long, lingering finish.

Thank you for the recipe – sounds really great! (I’m just approaching the end of week 1 at the moment). I was also a bit confused like Ekaterini above – the actual text still says: I noticed someone further up the list of comments asked if Conference pears would be ok to use for this lovely stuff… but there was no answer posted. So I would like to ask this question myself, as this is what I have to use.. I’m very keen to try this this year as my pear tree is laden!! LIttle sensitive to cloves, and always add less than half to recipes. Think I will try replacing cloves with i/2 a scraped vanilla bean. Let you know…Reyka is smooth and oily on the palate, with a touch of pepperiness and some sweetness. There are notes of bread toast, a touch of wet stone minerality, some citrus zest and a bit of vanilla. To make the dried orange peel simply use a potato peeler to peel strips of skin off an unwaxed (or well scrubbed and rinsed orange) making sure you just take the skin and not the bitter white pith. wikiHow is a “wiki,” similar to Wikipedia, which means that many of our articles are co-written by multiple authors. To create this article, volunteer authors worked to edit and improve it over time. Simply mix together some pear vodka, pear simple syrup, and prosecco in a wine glass to celebrate in style. Cheers!
