Relying on Heritage to Revitalize a Brand
Overview
In 2007, Chester Gateway Theatre was brought to an end. Over the years Chester Gateway had earn’t itself a reputation for innovative, varied and unusual shows. Having first opened its doors in 1968, 37 years later the Theatre continued producing and receiving some of the most exciting Drama, Dance and Comedy from internationally acclaimed companies to create a programme that appeals to everyone.
Challenge
As part of a fictional University brief I was required to create a new brand identity as if the Theatre was to once again re - open its doors. The Theatre desired a strong link with Chester’s cultural heritage and a clear differentiation that would enable them to stand out amongst its competitors in surrounding regions.
