Description

Molly’s bittersweet and bittersharp mash includes Dabinett, Harry Masters, Ashton Bitters and Three Counties.

Beautiful to the core, our lightly carbonated medium cider is far from mediocre. Molly is a meticulously balanced cider with a golden glow. This scrumptious sip is smooth, well rounded and has a wonderful apple nose; a signature quality of our homegrown Herefordshire Cider apples.

Thundering Molly: A Taste of Authentic British Craft Cider

Fruit cider is a growing market and Fruit Ba is one of the best locally made fruit ciders, with no chemicals or additives. We do also sell Healey’s cider which is a bit further a field at Truro, Cornwall. Famous for their Rattler cider, which is too good not to sell. As one of the UK’s largest self-sustaining single estate cider producers we’re proud of our genuine heritage, provenance and traceability as well as sustainability. Awarded PGI status, you can be assured that only Herefordshire apples are used in our craft cider. Made from a blend of the Hastings variety of cider apples, this is another drink that is kept as pure as possible so the fruit’s character can shine through.

Another medium dry cider that’s made its way onto our list, it was originally called Vat 53 after the oak vat that was used to mature the product. Other ciders in the Stowford Press family include the low alcohol alternative, which has the same bittersweet taste but at no more than 0.5% ABV. The company have also recently introduced a mixed berries blend, a sweet alternative. Ross-on-Wye Cider and Perry Company were recently named the best drinks producer in the UK in the BBC Food and Farming Awards 2019. From their flagship, Raison D'Être Cider, an 8.4% oak cask bittersweet beauty, to the supremely popular Birdbarker Cider, a 5.2% medium, carbonated easy-going drink, every taste is accommodated.Free from: celery, cereals containing gluten (such as barley and oats), crustaceans (such as prawns, crabs and lobsters), eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs (such as mussels and oysters), mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans and tree nuts Napton Cidery made their first batch of cider as most do – from the apple tree in their garden. Thrilled by the result Napton Cidery was born the very next year, with the sole mission to collect unwanted apples from the village/surrounding orchards and make something wonderful. From pressing a simple 2000 litres in 2015, they now press over 45,000 litres; all sourced from small orchards across the UK to support sustainable British farming. With our ‘Pip to Pint’ approach, we offer consistent quality and award-winning taste profiles with a key focus and ability to adapt with changing trends. Our ability to follow market trends is not compromising and maintaining traditional values and respect for our provenance will always be core. We stay true to our craft and are dedicated to working with our farmscape, never against it. One of Herefordshire’s bigger producers, the Much Marcle-based business has a number of ciders on sale across the country, but is probably most well-known for Stowford Press.
