It felt like this book was meant to be some profound comment on sexism today, but it also felt like the author hasn’t really done much deep thinking about the topic. What we get instead is an intensely interior look at the friends’ psyches and relationships, and it’s utterly enthralling. The author makes so many generalizations about women and their lives in this book that it just made me angry.
