That first 4 track run are classics most people would know without having listened to the album and they’re all high quality.

MM..FOOD by MF DOOM (Album, East Coast Hip Hop): Reviews MM..FOOD by MF DOOM (Album, East Coast Hip Hop): Reviews

Quality of packaging is great, though I will admit that the sleeves themselves are quite tight so it’s difficult putting the records back in, but very minor issue, perfect release imo! So the prospect of a skit-filled mid-section of a(n under) 50-minute LP may sound grim, but it's not so bad. The album's titles and lyrics contain references to different foods, some with common metaphors and double entendres in the "street world" and the "nutritional realm". It's also counterbalanced with some of the best songs MF DOOM has ever done -- "Potholderz,""Deep Fried Frenz,""One Beer,""Rapp Snitch Knishes," etc. I'll admit I'm just not usually a fan of food concept songs ( Lupe's burger track on The Cool was easy to pinpoint as a least favorite) and so a whole album of them is a little.Either way it's just a little disjointed; I like it more now than I did when I was younger and deep in my DOOM phase, but I can still remember what was wrong with it then. s production on "One Beer" has sonics not to be forgotten which would make any longtime listener petition Doom's Hideout and one of those churches in Notre Dame for another Madvillian team-up. The captivating opener Beef Rap sets the bar high, as DOOM's intricate rhyme schemes and food-inspired metaphors ignite the senses.

MF Doom – MM..Food (CD) - Discogs

MF DOOM, the maestro of lyrical complexity and enigmatic persona, serves up a creative and genre-defying masterpiece with his 2004 album, "Mmm. Anyway, I'm going to rate this album based on how I like it now instead of trying to average it with how I felt then, that just seems kind of weird now.

Doom's voice lacks the neccessary sarcasm sometimes, the self-absorbed confidence which is neccesary to rhyme nonsense.
