At times, it sounds as though you’re listening to music in a very long hallway whilst facing the wall.

The only advantage FD3 Pro has over the Timeless is its heavy mid bass punch and those who don't prefer the Harman target or simply prefer sub bass over mid bass may not consider that an advantage as well.the whole composition of that song has lots of details all over the place – it just need a competent listening device to hear them all. Again, it is very close and it is minor things that only really stand out when comparing them side by side, but I must say I am more of a fan of the S12. So, on tracks like Hotel California (Hell freezes over), the vocals don't excite and sound more heady.

It has rumble and impact above and beyond what you would expect from an iem with this kind of mid bass. The energy is a bit lacking but the rumble is more dependent on volume, something that isn't new to me with planars.

I've taken them on a backpacking trip across Europe, on tour with me across North America, and they work in every scenario. Several types of eartips came in the box and the earphone case is of very good quality and protective. The bass acting on the timeless hits fast but even though it tries to recover or decay it gets messy but maintains it's harmonic values. But this IEM responds well to some extra power and a better source, so don’t be afraid to feed it with a good DAC or amp and bump up the volume a bit.

there isn't much to complain about, I would say they are tuned well but I don't think they do anything really out of the ordinary unlike the Stellaris which has the kind of nasally honky 1k peak, these work fine without eq, they don't fatigue me and I don't notice anything notably out of the ordinary after multiple days of listening. We can understand that the sound of this product can't be everyone's favorite, as sound is very subjective. I usually spend at least a week with an IEM before I create a review, as I find that more time spent can sometimes make certain flaws more obvious or can also make something grow on me. Similarly, those who are fans of a warm and dark sound signature may not appreciate the crisp, forward and detailed treble on offer here. I listen to these on my mobile using a Hiby FC4 and they sound loud and great but they really really shine on my JDS labs The Element with gain on.
