I recently bought two of Medium (yes, that kind of Medium!) Tyler Henry’s books (you may know him from his TV show Hollywood Medium from a few years ago — which I’ve never seen and had actually never heard of before being recommended his new Netflix series Life After Death with Tyler Henry which I wrote about here). His memoir was a witty and relatable. Tyler genuinely wants to make a difference in people's lives that may be struggling after a friend or loved one has passed. It was really cool to hear about how each of his readings appears to be unique in nature. He is always discovering new signs and secrets. I understand that my ability is a gift and not something for which I can take any credit. I’m just a conduit for information to come through and reach those who are open to hearing it—something we all have a natural ability to do, to varying degrees. Practice breeds consistency, and the more we develop and trust in our gut feelings, the more significantly and accurately our intuition can help us. Even after doing countless readings, I still have to remind myself daily to “get out of my own way” and allow myself to be a clear vessel through which messages can flow. This would foreshadow a lifetime of readings in which messages would come through, for which I simply couldn’t understand the context. Time and time again, I would be taught that context isn’t essential to being a conduit. Trusting that what I was interpreting intuitively was factual—without analysis—was the first step required in putting the validity of the messages to the test.

For me, one of the most appealing perks of the afterlife is the heightened sense of thanks. Souls describe this feeling again and again, and I assume that this new gratitude comes along with their expanded perception. Souls say they appreciate the meanings and correlations between events and people that they didn’t perceive during their physical lifetimes. Even the most jaded of people in life express immense gratitude from the other side. With ego stripped out of the way, it’s much easier for souls to understand the role that challenges had in their learning process, without getting caught up in the negative emotions we experience in this realm. If the living were able to appreciate our lives as much as those on the other side, we’d be dramatically happier. We’d live every day as though it was our first and last. In fact, people on the other side often encourage us to focus on living in the present moment. It allows us to feel gratitude more fully, without hang-ups over the past, or fear about the future, clouding our minds. Reminding yourself of what you do have takes up headspace that might otherwise be focusing on what you don’t have. We can never have too much gratitude—it’s grounding, and it gives us clarity over what really matters in the present (and every) moment.” How we should try to be more childlike if we want to develop our intuition – being open, receptive, nonjudgmental, removing bias, and allowing our imagination to soar. It is noticeable from a writing standpoint, that a ghostwriter undoubtedly was used because there is no way a 20 year old speaks in this manner or can describe situations/philosophy in such a way. This does cause some inconsistencies in the text but this isn’t a bad thing and “Between Two Worlds” is still quite worthy. Tyler Henry discovered his gift for communicating with the departed when he was just ten years old. After experiencing a sudden, accurate premonition of his grandmother's death--what Tyler would later describe as his first experience of "knowingness"--life would never be the same. Now in his twenties, Tyler is a renowned, practicing medium, star of the smash hit E! reality show, Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry, and go-to clairvoyant of celebrities, VIP's, and those simply looking for closure and healing. He has worked with some of Hollywood's biggest names including Khloe Kardashian, Amber Rose, Margaret Cho, Jaime Pressly, and Monica Potter.Throughout my life, I’ve come to understand the world in two ways. In one sense, I’m like any other twenty-year-old adjusting to adulthood, learning to live on my own (and use a dishwasher for the first time, admittedly). Yet in a very different sense, the part of me that most people see is Tyler Henry the medium—the Macaulay Culkin look-alike who gets in touch with celebrities’ dead loved ones on television. Though most people can’t relate to what it’s like to get visual, sensorial, and mental impressions from people who’ve passed away, everyone is capable of understanding the impact those messages have on the loved ones who need it most. Whether it’s a reference to pink fuzzy dice from your aunt Edna, or an inside joke shared with a beloved grandmother, these are the messages I strive to deliver—no matter how random they may seem to me, personally.

I was enthralled by her radiance. Before her death, having battled cancer for months, she lost all of her hair and was unable to get out of bed. As I saw her now, she had beautiful, lightly curled blond hair, youthful rosy cheeks, and kind eyes. I was seeing her as she saw herself. Before I had time to process what was happening, my thoughts were interrupted by a voice that I’d known my entire life.

As Tyler’s grandmother was terminally ill with cancer in April of 2006, he began having strong intuitive hunches that would later turn into a series of profound visions that proved to be true. After a series of life changing events (including a near death experience), Tyler’s passion, calling, and life purpose has been to bring clarity, closure, and evidence to those he is privileged to read. Whether in Hanford or Hollywood, my intention will always be the same: to show as many people as I can that love lasts forever. The bonds we forge in this world never break.” If we can seek to be more present, we will be inclined to be truer to who we are and what we’re feeling. When we can authentically be who we truly are, and be honest with ourselves and our feelings—not making decisions out of past hurt and future fears—then we are free.”

Everyone has different beliefs, and whether or not the concept of a medium has any place in those beliefs, is something that is very individual. I personally believe that God gifts each person with natural talents, some of which are very prevalent. From Tyler Henry, a twenty-year-old clairvoyant and star of E!'s hit reality series Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry, comes a memoir about his journey as a medium thus far. Tyler Henry discovered his gift for communicating with the departed when he was ten, and now, at age twenty, is a renowned, practicing medium who is the go-to clairvoyant of celebrities, having worked with some of Hollywood's biggest names including Khloe Kardashian, Amber Rose, Margaret Cho, Jaime Pressly, Monica Potter, and Boy George, many of whom appear on his smash hit E! reality show, Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry. Henry's memoir reveals what living life as a medium is really like--from opening up about discovering his gift as an adolescent, to what it's truly like to communicate with the departed. He also discusses the difficulty he had accepting his rare talents and the courage it took to share them with the world"--Baker & TaylorThe next evening, as I settled into bed, I lay down and closed my eyes. After the harrowing previous twenty-four hours, I tried to quiet my emotions. As I began dozing off, I noticed a sweet fragrance wafting into the room. It was distinctly familiar. In my half-conscious state, I realized that this scent was the same flowery perfume my grandmother wore when I was a little boy.

Ultimately, my grandmother’s death affected my life more than anyone could have imagined at the time. As my family grieved, I was unable to forget the feeling I’d experienced that night. The people around me cried, but I couldn’t bring myself to feel the same way they did. Somehow, having advance knowledge that she was going to transition—even though it was only by a few moments—entirely changed the way I processed the news of her death. Because I had experienced the future as the past, I understood on a deep level that the outcome couldn’t have been prevented. More than needing any comforting, I found myself consoling my parents. I like this book very much. As always - I still burn with Many Unanswered questions that bother me.He answered questions on multiple marriages and soulmates and other related topics – all very interesting. Once the ego is taken out of consciousness, we start seeing how many times in life we hindered our own learning process. Feelings of victimization, defeat, and apathy aren’t conducive to growth, and yet on earth, people often find themselves in ruts they find difficult to escape. Not so on the other side.” Expanding on this depth, “Between Two Worlds” is a truly moving reading experience. Even aside from my own Empath and clairvoyant lifestyle; Henry’s writing has an impact and is thought-provoking for both young and adult readers, truly reaching audiences on a very personal level. This is a type of book one “has” to read for emotional fulfillment. I strive to encourage people to live their lives in such a way that they’ll never need help from someone like me. When we live each day with kindness, compassion, and communicative love, there is no business left unfinished. There are no regrets or words we should have said, but didn’t. There is no need for closure or forgiveness or apology of any kind. A life well lived is not harmed by death.” You must read his book with eyes wide open and judgement set aside. His book is very candid. I was not written with the intent of convincing you but rather to better know him and help you understand.
