Its opening is spicy, but it is so well combined with vanilla and cardamom that all these spices become poetry. A burst of cardamom and other spices (mainly clove) opens up and continues throughout the tropical yellow floral heart and amber-patchouli base with gingerale touches. not your typical sweet gourmand perfume cookies, but some sort of more hearty spicy cookie that only has a hint of sweetness. When I breathe in and out on the wrist I’ve applied this on it releases more of the mango and green notes, which does give it more of a jungle vibe. This is a fragrance has presence and commands respect- in the way being around an elephant does, I imagine.

The vanilla is quite fluffy and very creamy, and really fills your nose, similar to the vanilla note in Mancera Vanille Exclusive (just the vanilla not the perfume), albeit less prominent and slightly less dense.

I know ladies, most of you have discribed Jungle as a wintery Christmas scent, and don’t get me wrong, it really does smell like heaven when it’s cold outside and cookies are almost ready, all cinnamon buns and Lebkuchen.

Cardamom is a favorite note and cumin reminds me of childhood (mom's cooking), so perhaps I'm more inclined to like it. To the point where I need to think carefully about the environments I’m going to find myself in while wearing it, lest I overwhelm people with my fragrance.It truly is spicy, especially at the beginning the spices may even seem harsh, I would say the cardamon and cumin are very noticeable. I was hoping to win the durability lottery, and I'd read that the original was more sweet and spicy and less sour.

I can see how some people can see it overpowering, but I cannot see this as one of those smells that could be 'offensive' (heavy tobacco, smokey, incense, bitter). I get a strong cumin scent that is surprisingly sexy while being possible Unisex if ur confident enough. Note: It didn't irritate my skin at all as another reviewer said (and my skin is pretty sensitive) and I can't imagine it not projecting as someone else claimed. Wear this at 32-40 degrees (90-100 Fahrenheit) and it's a lush succulent sweet yet natural Mango on a bed of potent but soft spices. I can only compare it to cough drops, or maybe a tiny bit of Vicks, or something like that, with the feel of fall/Christmas scented candles.

Its a pitty, I was so intrigued by that super spicy first few minutes until it settled and got weird. The best part is probably the first stage of drydown when it smells like some kind of a strange green-herbal powder. And i just wondered if the spices were that intense and overpowering already in 25 degrees (or 77 fahrenheit), how would I ever wear this in colder weather?

I was reluctant about the cumin and caraway, but it's skillfully balanced with cardamom and floral notes. There's a sweetness that does not remind me of sweet as in sugary sweet but, more of a saccharine sweetness. These days, I get a fascinating mix of cinnamon-camphor warmth (reminiscent of Tiger Balm), nutty cardamom, creamy tropical florals, and milky vanilla. I blind bought this, and upon first spray, I thought I'd made a huge mistake because it almost swallowed me whole.Definitely not a scent for everyone, but I think every fragrance enthusiast should try this at least once. It's the middle east in a bottle, like walking through a spice market and all the fragrances pull your senses from one direction to another. It's one of the best milky scents on the market, - love it, cardamom, cinnamon, pepper - all boiling in hot milk with a hint of amber and lemon! Spicy notes are already tricky on my skin, and my own chemistry rendered them dirty, pungent and wild.
