The temperatures are rising, the weather is getting better and the flowers are starting to bloom. Sounds great, doesnt it? But wait, sun’s out and so are the insects: Flies, mosquitoes and horseflies make life difficult for us and our horses. Fly spray helps, but it also contains a lot of chemicals. Find out how you can easily make your own fly spray! Basic fly spray recipe: This oil, like coconut oil, can be applied for several days without needing to be changed. Neem oil contains Vitamin E and essential amino acids that penetrate deep into the skin’s epidermis and kill the bacterium at its source. Because neem oil is highly concentrated, it should only be consumed in small quantities. Horses use this as a way of soothing their skin and relieving inflammations and other skin problems. It’s a good idea to use the oil as a mosquito repellent. Neem oil’s natural shine can make a horse’s coat look more stylish and elegant. Neem oil shampoo rinse can inhibit any organisms that live on the skin of your hoses, as well as help treat conditions such as rain rot, mud fever, and other bumps and lumps. Allow the shampoo to soak for 5 to 10 minutes to fully benefit from its healing and nutritious properties. Spraying: Gently spray the diluted neem oil onto the horse's skin and coat, ensuring even coverage of the entire body, especially areas where pests often gather. Regular Use: Apply the diluted neem oil as needed for effective pest protection and improved skin health. The frequency of use can vary depending on the conditions and needs of your horse.

Stink Bugs and Flies: Active ingredients in neem oil, such as azadirachtin, have insecticidal properties and can help control pests like stink bugs and flies that bother horses. An important extra benefit is that while your Neem is improving the infected area, it will also be deterring all those biting things - some of which may have caused the problem in the first place ! Mix water and vinegar in equal parts and pour it into the spray bottle. It is important that you do not use fruit vinegar, as this attracts bees and wasps. Shake the mixture well before use and then spray generously. Avoid the head and private parts. It is best to test it on a small area of your horse beforehand. Just like us, horses can get allergies or skin irritations from some liquids. However, most horses do very well with this fly spray!I have used pure Neem Oil on open wounds with amazing results. Horses hate to have cuts and wounds washed out, so all you need is Neem Oil, as this will clean the infection, keep flies at bay, sooth and heal all at the same time. I have tried this several times now, and Neem is a truly great healer! This is best done by diluting pure neem oils with warm water in an aerosol bottle. Then spray the product onto horses’ coats. To make the most out of store-bought fly spray, add a few drops to your sprayer and shake. FACT: Pro-Equine supplies only premium grade Neem oil with high active Azadirachtin content. Cheap, low grade Neem oil will not work on the conditions below.

Neem oil can be used to treat insect and fungal diseases. suffocation causes insects’ bodies to become covered in oil, preventing them from breathing. Because of this, it is the most effective tool for controlling immature insects. Adults of mature insects are not typically killed, but feed and reproduce on their own. Harness The Power Of Neem Oil To Keep Pests At Bay Neem oil is useful in preventing and treating various pests, diseases, and nuisances in horses. Here's how neem oil can help: Pure neem oil can be very concentrated so it should not be used in large quantities. It is used to treat the skin of horses and their coats, as well as treating skin inflammations.

Basic fly spray recipe:

Neem oil, despite its toxicity to birds, mammals, bees, and plants, has a relatively low toxicity to animals and plants. Neem oil contains a trace amount of amine, which is toxic to fish and other aquatic life. Azathirachtin, a component of neem oil, has a moderate toxicity to fish and aquatic animals. It is critical to remember that insects must consume the treated plant to be neutralized. Neem Oil: A Natural And Safe Solution For Garden Pest Control A nice shower is a great way to relax after a tiring summer ride with your horse. A shampoo containing neem oil will make it easier to care for your horse’s skin and coat. Essential oil neem oil, also known as super oil, is extracted from the seeds and leaves of the neem tree. It is a natural oil that is considered to be a super oil due to its many benefits. It grows in semi-tropical and tropical climates. The leaves and trees of the neem tree contain a special substance called Azadirachtin. If your horse or dog ( and other animals) are suffering from skin complaints such as mud fever, sweet itch, mange, thrush and so many other problems, including even ringworm, Neem can really be helpful.

An oil that has been used to treat ailments for thousands of years in India where the Neem tree (Azadirachta indica) grows all over the place.Dermatitis: Neem oil has anti-inflammatory properties and helps reduce inflammation and itching caused by dermatitis in horses.

Neem oil, which has natural antiseptic and sterilization properties, will cleanse the wound and stop bleeding. It will also protect against infection and promote healing. How to use Neem oil as an insect repellent A typical method is to apply small amounts of the oil on the horse’s coat, and then rub it in with a damp cloth. Horses can benefit from the oil’s positive effects by applying it only once or twice a week, due to its concentrated nature. By conditioning it, it can revitalize and strengthen dull, frizzy hair to regain its luster and strength. Neem Oil has many beneficial properties, including the ability to heal red, itchy, inflamed, acne-prone, burn-prone, eczema-prone, psoriasis-prone, and rashes-prone skin. There are botanical similarities between the Neem tree and the Mahogany tree. The region is mostly composed of bright, dry areas of Southeast Asia, as well as tropical and sub-tropical regions in the tropics and the Caribbean. The tree benefits the environment because it produces more oxygen than other trees, neutralizes soil acidity, and contributes to increased soil fertility. Producers sometimes leave seed cleaning to fruit bats and birds in some areas. The spread of neem trees causes them to look like weeds, but they do not directly affect the growth of actual weeds. The seeds of the neem tree, indigenous to India and well-known for its anti-inflammatory properties, are used to extract the oil. Neem oil has proven to be extremely beneficial in treating horses during the warmer months. According to studies conducted by neem oil, horses can benefit from its better efficacy than cortisone. Neem oil is used to protect horses from the onslaught of summer itch. midges are a common source of worry for horses due to a disease known as summer seasonal recurrent dermatitis (SSRD), or sweet itch, which causes an irritating condition known as dermatitis. Neem oil, in addition to being insect repellent, can be used as a general insect and mosquito preventative. If you’re worried about midge bites on your belly, face, or ears, use undiluted neem oil to combat them. All-natural 100% cold-pressed Neem oil has high levels of Vitamin E. It also contains essential amino acids. These penetrate deeply into the epidermis, where antibacterial agents can kill the bacteria. The repellent properties of neem oil can be used to prevent mosquitoes and insects from entering your home. Neem oil is effective as a repellent, but you must use it daily on your horses. Applying a few drops to the tail and mane of horses suffering from summer itching will instantly provide relief.
