I would like to thank my King King band of brothers past and present, along with everyone who has supported our efforts over the years . After building up a solid fan base over the succeeding months, the band appeared at two blues festivals in the summer of 2009. He wants to take that level of excellence already achieved and turn it up a notch with every performance and every new release to try and become the best that he and his band can possibly be.

Still, we wanted to make sure we read at least one LGBTQ book before the month was over, so for today we chose King And King by Linda de Haan and Stern Nijland, a fairytale story that proves true love always wins. I would have liked to see more about how the Kings' friends reacted when it turned out they brought a child back from the honeymoon - something like "gosh, we didn't even know you were pregnant" or "no wonder you 'had' to get married! At the last gig of the tour at Glasgow's 02 Academy, bassist Lindsay Coulson played his final gig with King King, leaving Alan Nimmo as the only remaining original member of King King. The illustrations are created as collages with cut paper and mixed-media art, including ink and paint. It would, however, be fun for parents and children to read together and track what the crazy cat is up to in each scene. It was definitely ahead of it's time but it hasn't aged well since this book could offend actual gay people. I give it 5 stars because the authors give voice to a group that is often marginalized in children's books, especially of this genre. I went to see my little boy's pre-school production of 'The Bossy King' this morning and it was absolutely wonderful!
