It can be pretty overwhelming for children to learn about feelings. They don’t understand why they are acting a certain way when something happens, so they tend to throw a tantrum or act out physically. These books will be a useful tool for you to teach them the words and actions associated with their feeling so that they can handle them effectively. I dont think this was a bad book and I actually feel kind of bad giving it such a low rating because I feel like a lot of people would swoon hard and absolutely love it… but unfortunately i was extremely bored the entire time I read it and couldn’t wait for it to be over.

Siblings Sam and Kate know what makes them happy, but they can’t be happy all the time! Follow them (with their parents and dog, Fuzzy Bean) on a journey through emotions and the everyday situations that can impact upon the way we feel. It`s my humble request to everyone to express themselves without thinking who would judge you or what would someone think of you. It's OK to express. It's OK to express sadness as we express happiness. Meyer is a 35-year-old, ex comedian who manages Farley and writes for TV shows. He also has a sweet pre-teen daughter, Charlie, who is incredibly mature for her age, deaf, loves to dance, and enjoys attending Farley's comedy shows. Charlie's mother died when she was born, which lead to Meyer quitting stand-up comedy to be a more dedicated, hands-on father. Over the years, he prioritized his daughter and their life together, but in the process, he became isolated until he met Farley. Meyer truly is a grumpy cinnamon roll who puts the ladies (Charlie and Farley) of his life first. So I was so proud of him when he realizes what he wants career and relationship-wise and decides to go for it. Using empathy for life―Tips, reflections, and games will help adults foster empathy in children for their whole lives.

I like that "rainstorms always precede something amazing" and that "jumping in puddles is better than any fancy party." I think that love is so cool thousands of people write about it every day. Millions, even. And I love that this book got published, and that I got to read it, and that it can always bring me comfort when I need it most. But of course, that doesn't mean they weren't pining for each other. There was so much sexual tension I swear, you could cut it with a knife! And it was apparent with every look, smile, and laugh. They've had so many years to connect emotionally so when they finally connect physically, sparks fly! Teach kids to be kind and considerate, with a fun and friendly book about the importance of empathy.

Seriously tho how that meet cute comes full circle and the way TD brings it all together under the same ☂️ (ella ella – sorry my brain…I just 🙈 sometimes) is such lovely storytelling. This book was not only hilarious and witty and fun, but the emotional maturity of the characters was just so refreshing. It was so wonderful to read a love story about people who get awkward and giddy and start overthinking things but then communicate their feelings. I kept thinking there would be some big blow up or miscommunication, but there really wasn’t. Don’t get me wrong - it was super cute and sweet… but I didn’t realize going into this book that it would be a duel timeline (which I’m never a fan of ) with multiple missed chances and years of both of them secretly pining after each other… only to be followed up by fake dating which finally gives them the opportunity to act how they both always wanted to. A lovely, interactive guide to help children learn to name their feelings and the physical sensations that accompany each one. Meyer and his daughter Hazel have been everything to her since they came into her life three years ago. So, all joking aside, the stakes really are high when it’s not only her career, but both of those relationships on the line. This book is dedicated to all the women who’ve ever been told that they’re Too Much. Maybe you’re too loud, too crass, too open, too bawdy. You overshare too often, say too many bad words, you're too weird, or too emotional.

He was lonely in life until he met Farley, and he had no idea that she was lonely waiting for a love like him.The Boy with Big, Big Feelingsis relatable for any child — especially for a child experiencing anxiety, extreme emotions, a child identified as a Highly Sensitive Person, or a child on the autism spectrum. Beautifully illustrated and written in rhyming verse, children and adults explore the whole spectrum of feelings and readers navigate the emotional challenges they face throughout the day.

Did you know wrestlers have feelings? And knights. Even superheroes and ninjas feel sad sometimes! A fun reminder that we all feel big feelings sometimes.

One of the most challenging aspects of childhood is feeling strong emotions, and learning about how best to understand and manage those emotions.

One study I read also gave the example of an award-winning actor. They would never show emotions like an emoji face. And we often don’t either. Again, be careful with broad generalizations. I was told by a friend that the main character of this book felt a lot like him, that he was who the author would fan-cast for Meyer. I didn't see it... until I did, and now it's all I can think about. Meyer is the best Dad, the best friend, always putting himself on the line for the people he loves. He's protective, and smart, understanding, grounding, and best of all, kind. Children can cultivate this emotional intelligence and nurture a sense of mindfulness. In essence, mindfulness is tuning into yourself and paying attention to the present moment without judging or analyzing what you are thinking or feeling. Practicing mindfulness can enhance many aspects of a person’s well-being, help develop insight and empathy, and enhance resiliency.
