On Teamspeak and Discord, my friends could hear me fine, but there were complaints about other noises coming through from the background, such as keyboard typing and even computer fans ramping up. They seem very durable, and if a younger (or particularly angry) gamer uses them, they should be able to withstand the inevitable rough handling. Unfortunately, there aren't any sound customization options to help you tweak their sound to your liking. Wide padding under the headband matches the material, and ensures that the headset never feels too tight on the head.

It is predominantly made out of plastic, but it does have a good solid weight to it and doesn't feel overly flimsy. We've learned to appreciate how simulated surround sound can subtly add to first-person gaming, but audio quality and value are always greater considerations. There's a dip in the mid-mid though, so vocals and lead instruments in songs like Lord's Apparition from the Elden Ring soundtrack are pushed to the back of the mix. The headband is the worst offender though, resting a significant amount of weight on the top of the head and eventually leaving me sore.

Voice reproduction is excellent, though, and, as I said earlier, I’ll always prefer flip-to-mute over a button. They're lighter than the original Astro A10, and they clamp less tightly due to their differently designed yoke and headband design. Not every headset needs to do double duty for studio production work or “hearing every little detail” in an old favorite music track.
Elden Ring sounded excellent, with every telltale growl, rustle, and twinkle coming through clearly. If you have a non-BNPL balance, you will still need to make at least your minimum payment as shown on your statement.It's somewhat annoying that one isn't included, as it would only cost a few pence for Astro to include this cable, and it improves the functionality a lot. That’s not all that surprising, considering Astro is also a well-regarded industrial design company. They don't do a good job isolating you from background noise, like chatter from nearby coworkers, which can be distracting. Music doesn't hold up as well with the Astro A10, neither do films, but the headset is not so bad to be unusable for these. Astro has made a really fun headset here, with a sound signature that falls right in line with their more expensive A40.
