I have chosen to make modifications because I want it to house rabbits not chickens as it was designed to do.

They mention that the door broke completely within two weeks, the wood splits when putting in the screws, and the door came apart when they went to let the chickens in.It's really sturdy but it's also light enough and easy enough for two people to lift and move around. Our coop has a roof so is protected from the elements, I'm not sure how long it will last as the wood is very soft. Please note that the Dorchester Chicken Coop comes in TWO packages which may be delivered separately.

I'd guess that it leaks at both the top of the roof opening (peak) and where the nesting box hook on .
