About this deal

The Mukishoes Igneous is a soft boot that looks stylish and on trend while still being delightfully light and flexible. It’s not the best out there for traction, but the chelsea boot options that have better traction are not as warm. I haven't experienced failure of the membrane in any offshore I've owned, including one on which I wore out the soles. The only problem I have is they are a little bulky but I have managed to cut them to size around the top and ankle. See how the GORE‑TEX Brand is creating unique, upcycled bags in support of the Freeride World Tour with Regens Wagner, an organization that supports people with different abilities to find paid work opportunities that match their needs and situations.

So I'm hoping someone in the backpackinglight community has or is familiar with these laminated fabric linings and can tell me if it's normal for them to be wrinkly and loose, or whether they are normally bonded securely to the actual shoe… Y'know I phoned the retailer to ask this and they didn't know! This site is really about my personal passion for hiking and climbing and has nothing to do with my day job.

Anyway I'm not totally committed to using the boots on the JMT, might still use my shoes… see how I feel closer to the date. I have an expensive pair of Zamberlan boots in my closet that gave me blisters and a black toenail before I gave them up and switched to hiking shoes (low top, like tennis shoes with better tread) and I have never regretted it.

However I wouldn’t recommend them for walking in lots of snow/weather because the outsole is more of a lifestyle outsole and the upper isn’t waterproof. Don't expect a fleece or warm lining as they do not have these but so far they have worked in keeping my feet dry though I intend to use them more when the snow comes. Comfort is key to making your walk as enjoyable as possible, and in this video you'll find helpful tips on how to make sure your new walking boots fit you correctly. The fur is super thick, warm, and close fitting so you don’t feel like you’re going to walk out of the boot.

OTOH I have used my last pair of quality full leather boots for 10 years and north of 1500km of hiking, at least half of it in difficult terrain and with a heavy (15kg+ load). We integrate lasting comfort and reliable protection from the elements to reach your goals in any weather. Them Thermo boots look very similar to the rubber bike boots I owned with the thick rubber and the fluffy liner.I’m out in high deserts, mountains, big rivers and really hot weather, while Bob deals with really cold, wet, slushy weather, deep snow and below zero temperatures in extreme, nasty weather. They probably won’t suite someone with an extra wide toe splay, and you might want to size up one because of the thick lining. Both hiking and disc golf wear intensely on specific spots of the boot, and consequently on specific spots on the WPBM. My partner and I have lashed out and bought lovely Zamberlan lightweight hiking boots for our August JMT hike but I'm worried that the Goretex lining material is not firmly attached to the leather outside of the shoe and is already sagging and wrinkling in places. Lightweight fabric boots are great for warmer conditions but then wet feet are less likely to be a serious issue when its warmer - uncomfortable yes, but not life-threatening.
