About this deal

I was especially moved by the powerful spiritual message at the end it, a necessary reminder that even in the midst of a love story, there is a more important love to be focused on.

What people mean by the word “mecca” is a place where lots of people, thousands, millions (maybe even billions as well [maybe in the future]) gather for a certain thing.I appreciated that eventually they both took the time to reflect on their own mistakes and be vulnerable and humble in the face of those realisations. She was buttoning up the cardigan and trying hard not to glance at Adam’s face—an action she knew would set her off in peals of laughter. Can love survive without open honesty, focus on what one does have and unconditional support of the other in the very moments which are testing enough?

You and your special one will be enveloped in a canopied, curtained, four-poster bed fit for royalty, with an en suite bathroom similarly tastefully decorated. She emphasises the esteem that Islam gives such relationships when carried out in a halal framework and mentions in her afterword how important showing this was to her.

On the other hand, Zaynab had so much going on in her life and that it got stressful for her in a completely different way. Just off this charming, hygge-ful space is the master bedroom: a lush, intimate oasis of peace and comfort. For me it was like there was this subconscious idea that a non-Muslim reader is reading over my shoulder so even though the descriptions and explanations are tedious I should suffer through for them. I am also very curious about my religion and culture and read up on every book available that talked about them. i saw a looot of criticism regarding the premise of this book a while ago, and though i didn't take any of it seriously, it's still very nice and heartening to know every bit of it was unfounded.

SK Ali introduces a character that is so infuriating you're gonna stop reading just to say "No she did NOT. Estoy muy emocionada de encontrar por fin representación de musulmanes encontrando el amor y enfrentando la vida de acuerdo a su edad y fé.

Thank you to the publisher and mlc_tours for including me in the booktour and providing me an early ARC for this book! This story was written with such a profound love for our most holiest places of worship that I can't wait to perform my own pilgrimage. Moving on, this book was based on miscommunication and jalousy which is, as far as I am concerned, a recipe for disaster.

And why did zayneb lied to her friend just to spend some time with Adam while being in Mecca is just 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ ! the ending wrapped up so nicely, so heartwarmingly that i'm willing to forgive/ignore/look past whatever happened beforehand. Follow a trail of autumn leaves through a tunnel of trees bending in joy toward each other and find your awaiting love nest!the unexcitement (is that even a word) that both me and zayneb felt when my parents (adam in her case) told us we are going to perform umrah is so real to me. i don't remember much from love from a to z considering it's been years since i read it, but i feel like i would've remembered it being so. Now we get to the controversy that I’ve seen circulating around due to, again, ignorance regarding your own religion. And I will keep praying for a day when we have more stories like this and ignorance towards all of what Islam entails doesn't exist anymore. And as one wedge after another drives them apart as they make their way from one holy city to another, Adam and Zayneb start to wonder: was their meeting just an oddity after all?
