Like the other cameras in the IXUS range, the 65 has a strong all-metal body and outstanding build quality, with one major exception. Another very small point is the lack of view finder - replaced instead with an incredible composition screen on the back - but then, perhaps I'm hankering after the days when you pressed your nose upto the back of a camera!

The Ixus 850IS did not have as sharp pics and also it only had a 3X zoom along with the 900IS (a lot more money as well, but a nice camera apart from that). We have at home the d2x and d200 of nikon, We also have 2 SLR like cameras, but all I wanted in this period of life is to KEEP IT SIMPLE as can be, and have always on me my shick camera.
