It was pretty low angst (though the h ticked me off at the end), so it would be a good book for after a dark or intense read.Okay, so it wasn't really so much of awkwardness in going through this story but all that tension between H and h was all too real that it felt awkward "being" in their space. There is an underlying current that is somewhat predictable but I didn't find that it took away from the story. The more I understood why Taylor and Mason decided to "get together" in the first place, the more I got rid of the taboo feels. Taylor and Mason haven't always been the best of friends, and when they are thrown together attraction and friendship spark a flame that won't stop!

I'm upping my review to 5 Stars because I've been in a book slump and cocky, sexy, snarky Mason just ripped me right the fuck up out of it! Back then he’d brought our tween-love Armageddon on himself by letting our whole class in on his secret while he kept me in the dark.However, I am less bothered by it at the end when I realized that their whole relationship was built on ONE MAJOR LIE! When Aaron ups and leaves Taylor in the worst douche way possible, Mason is at her door unwilling to leave her until she partners up with him so they can both extract revenge on their ex’s who are set to marry. This emphasis on player choice is most evident in Invisible War, where players can choose the gender and skin color of the main character before starting, and have the option of running quests for and allying with four possible factions within the game. I mean it's been established that I love Stella's writing but this might be my favorite for the banter alone. Was he just making convo, whiling away our last few minutes of incarceration at school, or did he really want to know what I was doing during our days off?

Invisible War was also well received, but did not enjoy the success of its predecessor, with many elements of its gameplay and story being targets for criticism, but many praising its branching gameplay and the high level of paths the player could take through the story.
