Leo's sister, Sammy, is a strong woman, trying to find herself after leaving an extremely abusive relationship and start her life again. While I love a character that cracks jokes and has a sense of humor most of Sawyer's jokes and voices went over my head and had me struggling a little bit throughout the book. I also struggle rating anything with modern military or cops high because the whole time the MMC is telling me this tragic story about him nearly dying overseas I am like why the hell were you there in the first place. She’s been so victimized by her ex-husband that she even faked her own suicide to satisfy his need to keep her isolated from everyone.

Then I'm gonna hit this button, say the ball is swinging out of control, and before it hits her, I'm gonna destroy with my laser sphere. Her ex was in jail for almost killing her brother and his woman, so she's back from the dead and trying to build her life.

I will say several people are dead, several seriously injured, a few minor injuries and Redleg has a whole lot of explaining to do to authorities.
