Also included in the package is a hardbound book which includes never-before-seen photos along with extensive liner notes by photographer Joel Bernstein and a fold-out poster. This should be amazing as it captures the making of the album from start to finish and was directed by Neil Young and his film crew in 1971.Musicians on Harvest include Ben Keith (pedal steel guitar), Jack Nitzsche (piano, lap steel guitar), Tim Drummond (bass), Kenny Buttrey (drums), John Harris (piano), Graham Nash, Stephen Stills and David Crosby (backing vocals), and the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by David Meechham.

The 50th Anniversary Edition will be released on triple-vinyl and triple-CD, both of which features the original album; a disc of three studio outtakes from the original Harvest sessions (‘Bad Loneliness’, ‘Journey Through The Past’ and ‘Dance Dance Dance’); and an unreleased live BBC solo performance.

All songs ©1971 Silver Fiddle Music (ASCAP), except "A Man Needs a Maid," "Old Man" and "The Needle and the Damage Done" ©1971 Broken Fiddle Music (ASCAP). One of the most iconic and influential albums ever, Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side Of The Moon celebrates its 50th Anniversary. After seemingly hundreds of years of different variations it is hard to say what the real Neil actually is but if you are going to start somewhere perhaps 'Harvest' is your best entry point. Young is famous for his dedication to quality of sound, and the remastered tracks are predictably amazing, from the strings on “A Man Needs a Maid” to the steel on “Old Man” and the restrained jammy-ness of “Alabama.
