About this deal

Adams ratchets up the suspense and the tension page by nerve-wracking page, and the atmosphere was so evocative that I actually felt colder than normal while reading this book.

She immediately begins thinking through those in the rest stop, who could have kidnapped this girl and why, and how she is going to save her. Over the past few years, Brianna Wiest has gained renown for her deeply moving, philosophical writing. Beatrice Loayza of The New York Times found Power's direction not sufficiently good enough to capture the tension of the movie, while claiming that the script carries out the plot with no effort, preventing the film to provide a real tension as a thriller. TAYLOR ADAMS delivers a rapid-paced, suspenseful, gripping, well-written and perfectly executed read here that was such a vivid portrayal that I thought I was actually watching a thriller movie unfold rather than just reading it. She’ll help you connect with the part of yourself that’s drawn to the quiet, the deep, the beautiful, and the kind.

I don't want to reveal anymore other than to say that the tension escalates all the way to the final confrontation. And thus, Adams begins a tense, truly terrifying journey into the mind of an eminently evil, fucked-up villain and the Final Girl who vows to stop him. Darby sets out from Denver, in hopes of making it to Utah to see her estranged mother before she heads into surgery. Taylor Adams’ original story sometimes veers into horror territory thanks to graphic descriptions of murders-via-nail gun and a subplot involving Lars and Ashley’s uncle, Kenny, who runs a sex trafficking ring in the midwest.

Darby is desperately trying to contact her sister and police in hopes that they can help them get out. This gripping thriller with a young, witty female protagonist will keep even the most experienced readers guessing until the end. HAIRPIN BRIDGE: Lena will do anything to find out who killed her twin sister — even if it kills her. As for Darby herself, I really couldn't like her with her not funny, smart-ass attitude at inappropriate times.Darby goes outside to look for cellphone signal and ends up discovering a kidnapped girl in a van belonging to one of the people inside. Ash and Darby have a violent confrontation in a bathroom that never happens in the book (she’s narrowly saved by Lars), and the motivations behind their kidnapping of Jay also seem to be slightly different.
