They make for a great display centerpiece and I also liked that they are fully articulated which means you can strike multiple poses with them. Welcome aboard. Nice to see you have kept the interest. We conducted a paired t-test, to investigate differences between the direct-gaze and the averted-gaze condition in the frequency of SFM. It's fascinating for me to see how the LEGO designers solved the same problems of friction that I faced for the arms and the legs. I remember showing Jamie Berard my arm mountings - complete with an illegal move - nearly a decade ago. I think that the gears approach in 76393 is inspired! And the double friction bearings on the legs is a pretty clever way to keep them posable and strong enough to hold the weight of the torso and head when the legs are angled. Kudos to the design team there. The latest batch of Harry Potter sets includes the usual assortment of minifig-scale models, but also among them is something rather more interesting and unique: scaled-up models of minifigures. I think I know your problem, as this sounds very similar to what I had when programming my 76393 with a 60214 running the same version of software. I spent nearly a day trying to get my signals to show the correct aspect when using S88 and 76xxx signals. I progammed my 76393 exactly as you did but the signal would never show the correct aspect. After a period of trail and error I found (when in the keyboard mode) there are two types of signals options to choose from which wasn't obvious during my first programming attempt. You must chose the second digital signal option by scrolling further down the menu(Sorry I dont have my 60214 with me, so cannot exactly remember the the correct menu option) but essentially there is another signal option further down in the settings that correspond to the digital 76xxx series signals. Do not select the first signal HP0/1 option in the menu as I did. Someone on this forum that has an operational 60214 running might be able to inform you of the exact menu option you need. Verdict
I really enjoyed building these and finding out how they were constructed, which was far more complicated than I expected when I first saw them. A lot of care and attention has been put into both accurately up-scaling minifigure components and also ensuring that they can be posed in the same was as minifigures. Coolness [4]– They’re really great display models and are one of the most eye-catching sets in 2021 Construction of Harry and Hermione is largely the same up to this point, other than some colour variations, but the heads differ significantly due to the figure's different hairstyles.
