The point of the half strength bloom, is to provide the higher levels of Potassium and Phosphorous, higher levels of these two nutrients is crucial to good plant and root formation, especially in early growth, Formulex is also ok in early growth stages, but I have always found it far too mild to use for long and is only at it's best for a short time in early stages of growth, if you're only growing a few plants, perhaps not cloning, diluted Bloom nutes are a very good alternative to buying a bottle of Formulex, however cheap it is and have it sitting in the grow room for months or years, when you already have to buy Bloom nutes, I do dozens and dozens of clones a year and a litre of Formulex lasts an unbelievably long time.
