Although it was created and produced by Baby Einstein, Disney kept the Little Einsteins property when they sold Baby Einstein to Kids II. DisneyNOW had both seasons of the show but was removed once in April 2019, then twice in November 2019 to move the series over to Disney+. The show is also designed to encourage viewer interaction (such as encouraging the audience to pat their knees, gesture or sing along to help the characters succeed on their "mission"). The theme song now has the characters clap before saying "Little Einsteins." Quincy also now uses a drum in the final scene of the song.

Certain season 2 episodes and special episodes in Season 1 (such as " The Christmas Wish") have better-quality animation compared with most season 1 episodes. Annie's outfit has a new color scheme, being changed to a pink dress over a blue-white top with blue sneakers, because her original outfit looked very similar to Quincy's outfit.

The only Little Einsteins DVD that doesn't have the Sneak Peeks menu at all is Incredible Shrinking Adventure. Little Einsteins started out with a direct-to-video film, Our Huge Adventure, that was released on August 23, 2005. The full series premiered on Playhouse Disney on October 9, 2005, and ended on December 22, 2009, after two seasons and 67 episodes.

The main theme seamlessly transitions into the episode's title card, which is set on a stage. The Little Einsteins shush each other and get ready, then either Annie or Quincy would reveal the name of the episode, June introduces the main artwork that appears throughout the episode, and Leo introduces the main song that would be showcased throughout the events of the episode, all (besides most artwork) using homemade signage. Flight of the Instrument Fairies is presented in the episodes' original TV broadcast ratio of 1.33:1 fullscreen. Colors are bright and vibrant, while the image is clear and very sharp. Image quality is as good as or better (depending on your set-up) than when originally broadcast. Some aliasing on sharp straight or curved edges, and edge-enhancement are the only image problems you might notice, but your kids won't mind. Big Jet is the main antagonist and a common villain for the Little Einsteins. He often interrupts the group's missions, loves to steal everything to keep for himself, cheats at every game he participates in, and loathes losing. However, in " Show and Tell," after stealing all of the group's possessions for their school's show and tell, Big Jet befriends the team and never attempted to rival them again after this episode (mainly because that episode was his final appearance). Educational, involving and entertaining (a combination more rare than you might think) the Flight of the Instrument Fairies is a sure bet for the kids' DVD shelf. In the past I've thought that some kids' DVD releases were a bit light in terms of run-time, with some being only 40-minutes long. Not a problem here, with over 90 minutes of fun, you've got a few rainy afternoons covered, and at that, this is Highly Recommended for the proper crowd. It takes a dozen animators three weeks to animate a 22-minute episode and 9 weeks to complete construction of the episode. At several points in that process, each one gets test-screened for schoolkids, who are monitored for attention level and their reactions – smiles, comments and humming along are duly noted – and queried about their comprehension, and whether they found anything scary or intimidating.
