Also, thinking this hypothesis out loud - What if VERY cheap non-standard battery types tend to heat up (event) at mechanically idle current and thus cause reading error? (I don't think anybody will do that though :) )

Fijarse en que te van a dar muchos ciclos de carga y ver como tu cámara no es capaz de recargar el flash, o ver los juguetes de tus hijos que no aguantan una sesión de juego por elegir ciclos, en vez de potencia, no es buena decisión. Estas, las 'normales' (BK-3MCCE, blancas, 1900 mAh min, 2100 ciclos de carga, 10 % de autodescraga 1er año) En resumen, para un uso prolongado en el tiempo o como recambio de otras que no sepamos bien cuando van a dejarnos "secos", estas, van fenomenales. Potencia normal pero un uso extendido en el tiempo con una maravillosa capacidad de retención de carga. Las baterías Eneloop te darán muchas alegrías si las usas correctamente y en los aparatos adecuados, sino, son más un quebradero de cabeza que otra cosa por su corto amperaje. En segundo lugar poseen una muy baja autodescarga (10% en un año), lo realmente característico de estas pilas que hace que merezcan la pena tenerlas tanto en el dispositivo, como de reserva.

They're on the charger now, so far too early to comment on performance in the long term, but I tried two pairs in one of my Tado SRTs and the fit was easy peasy. He visto quien ha abierto la caja, las ha puesto en modo carga simple, el cargador ha medido sólo lo que le falta desde la carga parcial de fábrica, hasta el 100%, y ha mal-deducido que la capacidad es muy inferior a la especificada. Casi obligatorio tener un cargador 'inteligente' (en mi caso un Technoline BC 700, sobre unos 35 euros), que permita medir, o regenerar si es necesario, y sobre todo cuidar estas pilas. Con ello se asegura el elevado numero de ciclos, y duran toda la vida, y la de varios dispositivos en que se usen. Dicho esto, aclararé lo del título. Si te decides a comprarlas, tienes que tener claro para qué las vas a usar. No son unas baterías potentes, pero a cambio, ofrecen muchos ciclos de carga y un gran aguante frente al almacenaje.
