About this deal

This industry first memory technology supports fast frequencies and high bandwidthand throughput leading to enhanced workflow and productivity.

Cyberpunk 2077 was tested using the medium quality preset and at 1080p we see a reasonably large performance difference between the various memory configurations. The DDR4-2400 gear two configuration completely brakes performance as simply switching to gear 1 boosted the average frame rate by 41%. On the graphical side of things, Intel’s 12th Gen includes full support for Intel’s Iris Xe Graphics integrated GPU. Some 11th Gen-equivalent processors only supported the older UHD GPUs. The overall performance lift isn’t profound, but you can see modest Execution Unit and Max Frequency gains on Intel’s spec sheets when comparing certain 12th Gen CPUs to equivalent 11th Gen chips. A stronger integrated graphics component is always nice in any system, but anyone looking to seriously push their hardware will rely on a discrete GPU from the likes of Nvidia or AMD. The CAS latency or CL timings are only part of the equation, so you can't judge RAM's performance based on the CL timings alone, which is why a lot of people have been confused by DDR5 and it's seemingly high CL figures. Memory speed (frequency) and the CL timings (latency) play a critical role in system performance.

Microprocessor PCIe Revision

Intel is able to extend its lead when looking in the 75W power class. The 12700H is 36% faster than the 11800H here, and is now beating the Ryzen 7 5800H by 33%, up from a mid-20s improvement in the lower power class. Color Filters, including inverted, grayscale, red-green, and blue-yellow, can be toggled with Windows + Ctrl + C. Contrast themes are toggled with Alt + Left Shift + Print Screen. Standard Dark Mode and custom colors are also available under Personalization. I should note that the M1 Pro is included in our 75W charts for reference, but one limitation of Apple Silicon is that it can't be run above default power spec, so it's a roughly a 40W part up against 75W configurations. It is possible the M1 Max version will be faster and scale power further, but we haven't tested that chip.

Max Turbo Frequency refers to the maximum single-core processor frequency that can be achieved with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology. See www.intel.com/technology/turboboost/ for more information and applicability of this technology. Irrespective of which CPU one favors, both will deliver excellent performance and hold their own in both productivity and gaming-related workloads reasonably well versus the competition. Game Rant's favorite is the 13700K. It delivers better performance from the get-go with significantly more multicore performance. Also, it isn't priced out of reach like the Core i9 14900K this generation, making it a much more palatable high-end Intel CPU that games quite well too. All models support up to DDR5-5200, LPDDR5-6400, DDR4-3200, or LPDDR4X-4266 memory, and 20 lanes of PCI Express 4.0/3.0. Our test platforms for today were kindly provided by XMG and their partner Uniwill. The two designs we have on hand should be widely used across various OEMs. We can't tell if these specific ones will become XMG products, but other companies like Eluktronics use these sorts of laptops and you should see them available for sale soon. Part of that comes down to the export score. The full performance available with these new laptop configurations is 25% faster than a previous-gen configuration, comparing 12700H + 3070 Ti, to 11800H + 3070.Example 2: Need a list of processors to compare with maximum Turbo Frequency of 5.60 GHz and higher. See http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/hyper-threading/hyper-threading-technology.html?wapkw=hyper+threading for more information including details on which processors support Intel® HT Technology. If the Intel® processors number includes letters such as HX, HK, H, U, P, G7, NG7, G4, G1, Y, HQ, or M in the product line suffix, then these processors are laptop processors. Refer to the comparison charts for Intel® Core™ Laptop Processor Family. For the most part, your laptop benchmark charts are going to look like this. Even though we're benchmarking Gears 5 on Medium settings, the game is still relatively GPU bound, so the gains we see here are not attributable to the CPU, but to differences in the GPU. From DDR4-4000 to DDR5-4800 we see a 16% increase in throughput and now we're almost at 70 GB/s. Then from 4800 to 5200 we're looking at a 9% boost, 5200 to 5600 a 6% boost, and finally an 11% boost to 6200, reaching an impressive 88 GB/s transfer speed. But memory bandwidth isn't everything and for a lot of workloads memory latency is more important, so let's take a look at that.
