About this deal

To make the most of its features, our tester found it's best to employ 'continuous monitoring' and 'auto' mode, whereby the purifying fan heater will continuously monitor air quality, temperature, and humidity information, display results on the LCD screen and in the Dyson Link Smart app, and on-board sensors will adjust the settings of the machine accordingly. By working with a variety of trusted Range Plus Partners, we’re able to offer our customers a wider selection of products. Companies will throw out stats like RPMs to boast of how powerful their fans are, but there’s really only one measurement that matters when it comes to power: CFM. That stands for cubic feet per minute, and in this case, it refers to the volume of air that a fan can move through a given space and how forcefully it can do it. If you're looking for the crème de la crème of the fan world, then a Dyson bladeless fan is perhaps the most aspirational buy. Well-executed design, innovative oh-so-stylish bladeless design, and powerful multifunctional performance mean a Dyson fan easily stands out from the crowd. The fan comes with a rechargeable battery and charging cable included and can be fully charged in around 5 hours. Handily the charging cable also plugs into a standard USB port, so it can also be recharged via your laptop. We found battery life to be great, with the fan able to operate for approximately 9 hours on low speed, 6 hours on medium speed, and 4 hours on high speed, and it was surprisingly quiet for a bladed design.

Not all fans come with a timer function, a feature that can be especially useful if you plan to use your fan at night to help you fall asleep when it's warm, but don't want it running all night. If this is important to you, then investing a little more for this feature could be worth it for the energy you'll save. Remote control The Honeywell HT-906 TurboForce Fan offers whole room circulation as well as personal cooling. When used in conjunction with your air conditioner, the HT-906 can potentially save you up to 20% annually on your energy bill. The table fan's compact design and wall mount options make it a perfect addition for any number of settings. Capable of reaching distances of 30 ft., this TurboForce Fan also features a 110° horizontal oscillation. A generally quiet experience is also assured as this Honeywell Fan employs technology that measures up to 25% quieter than competing fans. The added ability of maneuvering the head 45° vertically allows for complete directional cooling.Given the difficulty of finding a replacement motor with three speeds and the correct mounting configuration, it makes more sense to buy a new model of this fan. Much faster, too. Stylish Dyson design is paired with multi-functional bladeless performance in this 3-in-1 fan that's also doubles up as an air purifier and heater. If only the price tag didn't make our eyes water. To help you work out where you want to invest a little more cash for better performance we've rounded up the key criteria to consider before choosing the best fan for your needs. Type

On the Honeywell Turbo Force Power Fan, this is a manual operation, with five positions you can choose from to direct the fan's airflow from pointing straight ahead and then upwards through 90 degrees until the fan's face is pointed at the ceiling. You do this by simply holding onto the fan body and pivoting it up or down whilst the legs remain on the floor or desk surface. All of the more expensive fans we've reviewed in our guide to the best fans also offer oscillating powers that work much better to cool an entire room rather than just the spot they're directed at. But, they are just that; more expensive. When buying partner items like this one, your contract of sale will be with our Range Plus Partner instead of The Range. However, there's rarely a bargain without a catch, and the downside to the Honeywell Turbo Force Power Fan's affordable price point is its intrusive noise and limited functionality. The Honeywell TurboForce Fan offers three speeds of quiet, cool air circulation. Its head pivots 60° vertically and oscillates another 110° horizontally. This gives you a chance to experience uniquely customized cooling. The HT-906 is also up to 25% quieter than competitive models, while providing powerful cooling that can be felt from over 30 ft. away. Using just 1-18 watts of energy to run, this is the most energy-efficient fan we've tested, costing well under 1p per hour at current prices. It's large and not the most portable, but it's easy to set up, simple to use, quiet, and offers powerful performance alongside a 'natural wind' mode that our reviewer loved.

The Honeywell HF-910 TurboForce Floor Fan is the superior choice for those looking for a highly efficient and quiet cooling option. By utilizing its TurboForce Power, the HF-910 is a powerful cooling floor fan that is capable of emitting air into large and spacious rooms. 25% quieter than rivaling fans, this Honeywell Floor Fan will silently cool the surrounding air. Three separate speeds and strengthened blades increase the fan's reach significantly and allow users to feel its full effect from 45 ft. away. Three speed settings and a 90° pivoted head allow for unrivaled customization. On first use, the most obvious difference between this budget fan and its more expensive counterparts is that you get a lot less functionality. This personal fan's design allows it to put out plenty of air without using a ton of power. Its wide plastic blades are durable, especially for a fan with this price point. And with a nice wide base, it can sit on most any surface without fear of tipping. So does it cool you down? Well, yes and no. As mentioned, this affordable fan does blow air at you, and its airflow is fairly powerful – as you'd expect from its 'Turbo Force' name tag. It's not such powerful or noticeably cool air as the more expensive MeacoFan 1056 Air Circulator can deliver, but it does have a cooling effect, as long as the fan is pointed directly at you. If you point it elsewhere, then its cooling effects are more limited. It's impressive stuff, but if you purely want a fan that performs well, then in our opinion, the Dyson Pure Hot+Cool HP09 Formaldehyde is an investment you don't need to make. Meaco and Duux offer fans with comparable cooling effects for considerably less cash, but if you're also considering investing in an air purifier, and you have the budget for a Dyson fan's super-cool good looks, this is a stylish investment you may be happy to make.

Gentler than the icy chill of a portable air conditioner, using far less energy, and costing less to run, a fan is a very useful heatwave essential that really does make a difference to wellbeing in the hotter months. Which is the quietest fan? Thanks to its DC motor – part of the reason this fan requires a little more investment – it also delivers that cooling airflow almost silently. Whilst it can't quite beat the Duux Whisper Flex Ultimate Fan on the 'virtually silent' front, it comes very close, especially when you consider what powerful airflow this fan can dish out. There's no hint of the dreaded droning noise that's associated with most fans, instead the only noise is of gushing air.
