About this deal

Camera is pretty good. Zoom works quite well upto 10X and after that pictures tend to lose their quality. Night mode is quite decent and selfie camera is amazing as well.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus is one of three flagship Samsung phones launched in early 2020. It has a 6.7in edge-to-edge display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, a triple rear camera and runs Android 10. Proximity Sensor, Hall Effect Sensor, Light Sensor, Gyroscope Sensor, Accelerometer (G-Sensor), Barometer, Fingerprint Sensor Yes, the S20 phones join several other late-2019 and 2020 models in adding the option to refresh the screen more frequently. Most phones operate at 60Hz (meaning the screen refreshes 60 times per second), but on the S20 Plus and its siblings you can opt to up this to 120Hz. I deliberately chose the S20 Plus5G because I had previously read that Samsung's own processor is not so frugal with the battery capacities. In any case, the Snapdragon processor lasts for a very long time, I am thrilled. The technical qualities are beyond doubt, and a great camera is also on board.I have had the Samsung S20 with 5G for 7 months and am happy with the phone. It can make calls and display the weather, which is enough. I find that the phone takes good photos and can zoom in up to 30 meters. The phone display is very well made and works flawlessly. The price-performance ratio is good, but I think that the phone deserved a better battery than the previous model for the price. Dual-Pixel-Autofocus, AI-Camera, RAW Image, Single Take, Super Resolution Zoom, Space Zoom, Super Steady Video, Ultra Pixel Binning, Hybrid Optic Zoom So, how do these cameras perform? Well, they’re very good but not the best I’ve ever come across. In a side-by-side comparison of shots captured with the iPhone 11 Pro’s 12-megapixel camera (in daylight), I saw a little more contrast and lower noise levels in the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus shots, while the iPhone images looked a touch more natural and neutral overall:

That’s not especially remarkable, but it seems that battery life is more or less keeping pace with innovation: you can eke out a bit more life by reducing the display resolution or dropping the refresh rate down to 60Hz; conversely, you can max-out the screen tech that’s on offer, but battery life will suffer accordingly. There are three imaging cameras on the rear of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus: a zoom, a standard wide-angle and an ultra wide-angle. You’re not getting the same spectacular 100x “Space Zoom” (10x optical) as on the S20 Ultra; instead the zoom camera is an f/1.8 64-megapixel 3x optical unit that can digitally zoom to 30x. You’ll mostly be using the main camera, though, and that’s a much more standard-looking 12-megapixel f/1.8 shooter, while the ultra wide-angle camera captures at 12-megapixels and has an aperture of f/2.2. At a stunning refresh rate of 120Hz, whatever you're watching is always crisply smooth and full of detail. And if you want to adjust the picture yourself there are a range of customisation options such as colour, sharpness and saturation so you can get the display looking just as you want it to. How big is the Samsung Galaxy S20+ battery? The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus was launched in the US, UK and Australia in March 2020. There are two variants of the phone; one with 5G, and another with only 4G. Samsung’s S-series phones have always boasted top-tier specs, and the S20 Plus is no exception. Its Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset in the US or Exynos 990 in other countries (including the UK and Australia) and 12GB of RAM baseline breeze through games, media binges, and multi-app multitasking.

8K Video Capture

My relatively new second phone. Use it a lot for taking pictures and making videos. The quality is fabulous. Zoomable several times and still razor sharp. The battery is also very durable, lasting a good two days with a lot of use. Quite expensive like all smartphones, but still affordable in combination with a contract. The cameras are better than the OnePlus 7T Pro for overall image quality but, if you’re buying a phone purely for the camera and don’t have a preference for either Apple or Android, I’d recommend the iPhone 11 Pro as the superior option. Samsung Galaxy S20 Pro review: Verdict

That's 12GB of RAM for the Galaxy S20 Plus 5G, but if you opt for the 4G version you'll get 8GB of RAM. We've yet to test that version of the device, but we believe 8GB of RAM should be enough to get you through everyday tasks.True, the detail gets muddy at the tail end of that zoom range, but the intermediate steps – the camera app helpfully provides 2x, 4x, 10x, and 20x interval options – make it a lot easier to hone in on subjects of interest. It’s not quite the Samsung S20 Ultra’s much vaunted 100x Space Zoom, but the concept is the same – and given how rarely you’d need to get that close to a distant subject, we think 30x will suit you just fine.
