Inside Your Head with Brian Conaghan & Patrice Lawrence Join two award-winning writers to hear about their new novels, Rat and Cardboard Cowboys, which both explore the community around us and how we all make judgements about others, sometimes without even realising it. Covering topics of empathy, homelessness… Over time, I discovered that every ghost has a story to tell, some sad, others inspiring and happy but it was the ones who told me their tragic tales that intrigued me the most. Over the years I have conducted many private exorcisms and cleansings, helping home-owners and the ghosts themselves to find peace. This is what inspired me to begin writing The Ghost Hunter Chronicles. The opening chapter introduces us to the Ripper himself, watching and waiting in the shadows for his next victim, before we then move forward in time to a horrifying haunting at a local school, and we are then consequently introduced to our main characters, Eve, Tom, and Clovis. Within 2 chapters, this book was already creepier that quite a few adult horrors that I’ve read, and the descriptions of specific horror scenes are so well written that you can vividly visualise them in your head. One thing I have always felt with horrors and probably always will is that there is nothing more terrifying than scary children, and this book certainly has those. The House in the Woods (The Ghost Hunter Chronicles)

It’s not just about scaring living kids under duvets. It’s about, you know, What Happens Next, where you go. And, in the world of The Ghost Hunter Chronicles, that kind of depends on how you have lived in this life. To the Abyss, a fiery chasm perhaps, if you have, say, killed a lot of people. Or to be reunited with loved ones, if you have behaved better. It sounds quite familiar. “Yes, it is religion to me,” says Fielding. “I’m a spiritualist.” eProof gifted by UK publisher, Andersen Press, via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review/reaction*** This experience led to her interest in the spirit world – and Yvette is now one of the most respected figures in the paranormal community. After poltergeist activity at their home, Eve tells her scientist Uncle about what they did. He realises that he might know who the ghost is and what he wants, but it will take them all working together to put the ghost to rest. This book is perfect for the upcoming spooky season. It’s definitely a YA but still enjoyable for oldies like me.This book was incredibly spooky! The storyline was definitely a whirlwind of ghostly encounters and spine tingling creepiness. It feels so real that you find it hard to separate the book and what you’re reading to you’re own reality (maybe that’s just me because I live with very mischievous poltergeist). At the time the Mirror confronted Derek Acorah with Ciaran's allegations. He said: "I've worked with Ciaran for many shows and he's got every right to say what he says.Be the Change with Gina Martin Writer and activist Gina Martin, who rose to prominence when she successfully campaigned to make upskirting illegal, wants to empower you with the tools and courage to challenge injustice and fight for change, whether it’s in your school, workplace or c… The Living show - which saw presenter Yvette Fielding investigate paranormal activity with claimed psychics, investigators and skeptics - entertained audiences for more than eight years, but the show's legacy appears to be anything other than entertaining. In September 2019, Fielding released her first novel, Archie the Ghost Hunter and the Rising. Published by Rudling House, Fielding's husband, Karl Beattie also provided illustrations for the book. I was put in the show to give a professional slant to it, to give it an element of credibility, but the sceptical argument is just swept away.
