Zeiss VR One Connect is intended as a lower-cost solution for VR apps, which explains the length of the USB cable. However, we haven't had a chance to try out theZeiss VR Connect yet. With the VR ONE Plus, the display is between inches 4.7 & 5.5 and can be accessed using your smartphone. The phone holder is best for the +plus models where the smaller phones included the 8 need better positioning to get them right. the slight bit of foam in the holder does help aligning the phone to the view. The VR One Cinema app is much more useful. It's a video play that puts you inside a virtual theater. A series of buttons appear mid-air in front of the screen, and you can make selections by staring at a button. It can play MP4 movies stored locally on yourconnected device, showing them on the theater screen when selected.

Finally, the VR One Cinema allows you to downscale video and other content to a VR experience, but the nearly SD-level quality makes for a very disappointing experience. I’d rather just watch them on my phone. Zeiss is a suitable choice if you want a simple smartphone VR headset for travel. If you want an interactive VR experience and a wide range of VR content, you would be better off choosing another headset. Design/ Fit... I mean, I have a larger than average nose, but it's not giant. The part that sits on your nose is very uncomfortable. I think if my nose were small it wouldn't be as big of an issue. I just wish they had padding around that area so the sharp edge doesn't rest on my nose. Velcro adjustable extra strap attaches to the left and right side of the unit. The strap is extra wide for a nice snug but comfortable fit. An extra over-the-head adjustable non-stretchy thinner strap about an inch in width stabilizes the unit on your noggin.There are far better apps and games to be found by simply searching through the Android and iOS app stores. Unfortunately, I soon realized some limitations of the headset. As compared to the new Samsung Gear VR and Google Daydream View headsets, the Zeiss is significantly heavier. It weighs 635g while the others weigh just 345g and 220g respectively. Therefore, it doesn’t feel comfortable on my head at all. Besides, it doesn’t fit my head well, even after I adjust the straps; so some lights can still leak in and ruin the immersive experience. It’s a great experience and a superb introduction to VR that doesn’t require you to be totally cut off from reality.
