If you're an avid dirt racer, this wheel isn't for you. Direct-drive wheels are the most popular kind of wheel today, but those come at a high cost. Dirt road: 6/10 When considering most motorsport fans around the world, road course racing is the most popular with series like Formula One, IMSA, and IndyCar. No additional setup is required to run multiple controllers, such as a dedicated pedal, shifter, or handbrake controller. As long as the controller is functional by itself, it can be calibrated and assigned without any additional steps. To find the right handbrake for your racing rig on PC, PS4 or Xbox One, there are a lot of compatibility guides you need to go through. The handbrake should be compatible with 1. Your racing wheel, 2. Your platform (PC/PS4/Xbox) and 3. The game you wish to play. Further, you will need to figure out the handbrake add-on connection, to connect it to the wheelbase/pedals or directly via USB. In some cases, a USB adapter is also needed to make things work. Select "Use linear mode" if you are using a direct drive wheel, leaving this option off boosts smaller forces and can make lower end gear driven wheel such as the Logitech G27, G29, G920, and G923 feel more lively. Ventrilo — Assign a button to have a function in Ventrilo, if Ventrilo is installed on your computer. Thrustmaster TSS Handbrake Sparco Mod+ is fully compatible with Thrustmaster T300 and T-GT racing wheels on PS4. Alternatively, you can use the Fanatec or Aiologs handbrake with the help of DriveHub accesorry on PS4. The latter is a much cheaper and better option in my opinion. Handbrake for Thrustmaster T80, T150, T150 Pro on PS4For modern Logitech wheels such as the G29, G920, G923, and other wheels that use Logitech GHUB, it is recommended to leave the settings at default, Logitech provides a Restore Default Settings option in Logitech GHUB if you have previously modified your settings from the default: In addition to the control calibration and customization options provided by iRacing, most wheels also have their own settings included in their provided software that can help the user fine-tune the feel of their steering.

Many wheels on the market that claim to have a full 900 degree wheel range actually have slightly less range than advertised. For example, most Logitech wheels such as the G29 usually only have ~870 degrees of actual range, despite being advertised as a 900 degree wheel. If you prefer to not use the auto function, iRacing includes a steering force meter that can be enabled under Options->Option:Controls can be calibrated at any time by selecting the control you would like to calibrate in the Options->Drive Menu: For the Trustmaster wheels that do not support a handbrake natively, you can get the DriveHub to make any USB handbrake of the three – Fanatec ClubSport, Thrustmaster TSS or Aiologs handbrake work on Xbox One. Handbrake for Fanatec Racing Wheels on Xbox One Although Logitech does not make a handbrake for their racing wheels, you can use any of the three USB handbrakes – Fanatec ClubSport, Thrustmaster TSS or Aiologs handbrake with the DriveHub to make them work with Logitech G920 on Xbox One.
