About this deal

Have you heard of Rizmo? He is a cute musical friend who has travelled very far to get to Earth. He has a love for music and dance but needs help to evolve. I first saw Rizmo when I went to Dream Toys in November. He was announced as one of the top 12 toys this Christmas. Tomy asked if Little E would like to review one and put him to the test. I knew she would love to know what he could do. The Rizmo colours have different meanings. These are quite clear in the Rizmo toy instructions, he has an eye colour chart but here are some details below.

When fully evolved Rizmo has a light-up stomach and has gained two new play modes and he can also get very grumpy. The two new play modes are Pink which is dance mode and light blue which is a colour game. Rizmo can also get grumpy if ignored so you need to give him lots of love and attention. Can Rizmo be evolved again? It’s a little bit of a shame he is recommended for kids aged 6 and over but I can see why. You have to be able to listen to him and follow instructions and he is delicate. I had to explain firmly to my excited 3 year old, not to yank on his legs and ears before he had evolved. When you are ready to stop playing with Rizmo you can swing him to sleep. Don’t forget to turn him off at his base to give him a real rest.To get Rizmo to evolve you need to collect musical points which you gain by playing with it. You also need to have recorded a minimum of 15 songs/noises. When the eyes flash different colours you place Rizmo on a flat surface and when the eyes glow white you need to cheer and encourage Rizmo, through noise, to evolve. IF you don’t make enough noise then Rizmo will not evolve and will need playing with some more until he is ready to try again. How long does it take to evolve Rizmo? When Rizmo arrives he is in baby form. He is a little ball of fluff, to interact with him you press his head button. His eyes change colour depending on the game you want to play. In this form, he has five different games to play. Playing With Baby Rizmo

In this mode hold and swing Baby Rizmo. He will make laughing sounds and even talk to you in his funny language.

Rizmo also gets moody when you ignore him. This was pretty funny, as we were watching a film and suddenly he started making all these crazy noises! He looked and sounded sulky! We had to press his button a few times and give him some attention to snap him out of it!! It is tempting to want to pull on him when he is a baby and toddler as parts of him move but don’t open but the instructions says really clearly, do not do this!! So we didn’t. We waited for him to evolve. I think the adult form of Rizmo is really sweet and I liked how he danced and moved about. I quite liked his little sulks too, as he seemed like a little child getting stroppy!! Makes him quite endearing. We left Rizmo for a little while and me and her younger sister (who is three, fully supervised) to have a play and try and evolve Rizmo to an adult. You repeat the same stages as above to get Rizmo to evolve again.

When you first open Rizmo it is in a baby form. It has two coloured eyes, a button on the nose and two feet which allow it to move up and down. How many settings does baby Rizmo have? Kid Rizmo has a tail and a bigger tummy that you can see move when he is going to sleep. He plays the same games in this mode as he does in baby mode. Continue to feed him songs and play with him so that he will be able to evolve again for the last time. The Final Evolution – Grown-Up Rizmo

She was fine to play with it, as I explained she couldn’t pull any of the parts and she had to be careful. She was fully supervised and we managed to evolve Rizmo again to the adult form! Little E has continually played with Rizmo and he keeps her very entertained. What Did I Love About Rizmo? They're based in convenient locations including supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Plus they're often open late and on Sundays. Little E absolutely loves her Rizmo, from baby form to the fully evolved grown-up she has loved interacting with it. She loved the challenge of collecting enough music points and singing songs for him to save. I think it took her about three days of completing tasks to make him a full grown-up.
