The SNK809 carries a military vibe overall that lands somewhere between a classic pilot’s watch and a rugged field watch, though the dial markings tilt further in the pilot direction.

It has a sleek profile and a clear military-inspired look. This is further extended via the green color of the dial and strap that the SNK805 has. This model is also available in other colors to suit all tastes. Round cases and rudimentary lugs were paired with dull, conventional dials in most designs. There was no design department within the company until 1956 – prior to that, the only people doing design work at the company were those in charge of the dial's form factor – in other words – engineers.
