FRONTLINE Plus ® is a topical treatment which goes over your dog’s skin and hair to kill fleas and ticks through contact with them – they don’t have to bite your dog to be killed. This means if you purchase a 3 pack or 6 pack for one pet then it will have enough treatment for 3 or 6 months. FRONTLINE PLUS ® for Cats can only be used on cats and ferrets; FRONTLINE PLUS ® for Dogs can only be used on dogs; FRONTLINE ® SPOT ON for Cats can only be used on cats; FRONTLINE ® SPOT ON for Dogs can only be used on dogs and FRONTLINE TRI-ACT ® can only be used on dogs. The (S)-methoprene in FRONTLINE Plus for Dogs prevents development of flea eggs and flea larvae, breaking the flea life cycle. However, if your pet gets soaked to the skin then the effectiveness of the treatment may be affected and reapplication may be needed.

To treat dogs over 60 kg with FRONTLINE TRI-ACT ®, use the appropriate combination of two pipette sizes that most closely matches the bodyweight. FRONTLINE PLUS ® for extra-large dogs can be used on dogs over 40 kg – there’s no upper weight limit for this product. Unlike other flea treatments, FRONTLINE Plus® kills ticks too, helpingto reduce the risk of tick-borne disease transmission. However, fleas are killed after contact with your treated pet: within 24 hours for FRONTLINE PLUS ® and FRONTLINE ® SPOT ON, or within 6 hours for FRONTLINE TRI-ACT ®.Please see the Veterinary Medicines Directorate for up to date information on this product and its classification. Frontline do not make a worming spot on however you can use Dronspot, this is a spot on that covers roundworms and tapeworms. FRONTLINE ® Plus for Dogs spreads from the single point of application, rapidly covering the entire dog and localizing in the hair, on the surface of the skin and in the sebaceous glands. Fipronil kills ticks (Dermacentor reticulatus, Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes scapularis, Ixodes ricinus, Haemaphysalis longicornis, Haemaphysalis flava, Haemaphysalis campanulata) and lice within 48 hours post-exposure.
