About this deal

This makes Paris an incredibly romantic destination for an evening walk, which only contributes to the city’s reputation as the City of Love. Like most Head for Points readers, I anticipate that choosing a chain – whether airline, hotel or restaurant – brings with it a degree of consistency, expectation and, of most interest to us, a reward structure. I admittedly do fall victim to the latter, but can’t help feeling sometimes that hotel rooms and lobbies begin to blur together with their stylistic similarities. Can we not agree that if you were to be teleported into one of these rooms you may very well not know what city you are in (without obvious tell-tale signs like the view out your window or dial-out instructions on the phone)? Luxembourg Palace and Gardens are still soaked in the royal and grandiose feel. Even in all, its royalness it’s still one of the romantic places to go with your better half. The air of this place is all about romance and is a lovely place to crash on during your date. You can either simply stroll through the gardens with your beloved enjoying the scenery or you can visit the Luxembourg museum. I tend to rotate between small and medium rooms, often travelling alone for business, and each time has been a pleasant surprise as no two rooms are the same. Each one features a completely different theme and colour palette, and feels more like a livable room in someone’s home unlike the stiff neutral palettes of larger hotel chains.

The streets are lined up with restaurants, shops and theatres, which stands out as a good option if you want to hang out after a good stroll along the street. Things to do- While popular Paris monuments are sprinkled all over the city, the 1st to 7th arrondissements are the most central with the biggest variety of landmarks to enjoy. If you stay in one of these areas, it is also easy to fit more into your day as there is a reasonably short travel time between sightseeing spots. The 7th arrondissement is the most iconic. of the central districts and is home to such attractions as the one and only Eiffel Tower. It was carefully arranged as an underground museum, with monuments such as steles and tombs, as well as ‘cabinets of curiosities’, which offer information on mineralogy and pathology. You can also view plaques with poignant religious and poetic texts, which explore the nature of mortality. On top of the romantic movies, series and novels, there is also an abundance of romantic songs about Paris. Today we have a review of a lovely boutique hotel in Paris: Hôtel Grand Amour, reader Jake’s favourite hotel.

Built in 1778, the Temple of Love was constructed on the demand of Queen Marie-Antionette. She had it built to celebrate her love for Louis XVI as well as the consumption of their marriage. The Musee d’Orsay is a fantastic museum with an incredible collection of art. The location is the first memorable aspect of the museum as it is found in what used to be the Gare d’Orsay railway station and hotel, giving it a truly unique architecture! A complex design of galleries lies beneath the gleaming iron and glass barrel vault in one of Europe’s largest museums. Paris is filled with small, romantic restaurants serving delicious French cuisine. This is another reason why Paris is the number one destination for couples looking for romance.

Montmartre is a rural neighbourhood perched on a hilltop, it is one of the unusual romantic places in our 15 romantic places to visit in Paris for couples. Releasing a charming atmosphere, this neighbourhood is all museums, vineyards, windmills, bohemian architecture, bars, and even bistros. Even the pigeons are dancing, kissing, going in circles, mounting each other. Paris is the city of love, even for the birds.”– Samantha Schutz Insider Tip:You can’t take a large bag or suitcase with you because they can damage the fragile interior. It is also not wheelchair accessible because of the many stairs.

This being said, Paris is not only a popular place to propose, but it’s also one of the most popular honeymoon destinations in the world. Let’s be honest, staying in one of Paris’ boutique hotelswith your significant other is an incredibly romantic thing to do! 4. Paris lights up at night Paris is unquestionably a city for lovers, and it has been a privilege and a delight to discover so many of its wonders by his side— Mary Mcauliffe

Paris is home to a wall on which “I love you” is written 311 times in approximately 280 different languages. I love Paris for the million reasons that everybody loves the city. It’s an incredibly romantic and beautiful place.”– Alan Furst Paris as the City of Love: Video Most of Paris’ most iconic landmarks, like the Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Basilica of Sacré-Coeur will light up, and it’s quite magical! The Grand Amour is a boutique hotel, with a downstairs area that tends to adapt to the height of the sun and the energy of the day.Nothing to write home about, but it does add to the experience and could potentially instill some creative note taking or brainstorming! Paris happens to be a frequent stop in my business travel circuit as I work in fashion. Admittedly I work on the operations side, so I am familiar with the world of formalities, glass office meetings, and the likes. Returning to the hotel after a hard day’s work you will find the café you left in the morning converted into a relaxing (albeit lively) place to have a fantastic meal with what feels like locals or frequent visitors – instilling a sense of community that has made me a repeat visitor. Keep safe and hope to see you there soon!
